Product facts and limitsQuestions to answer before choosing a workflow.
These answers cover the finished files and their operation. Product-specific totals, applicable transaction tax, payment details, and delivery access are shown at Lemon Squeezy checkout; Thirty North’s retainable policies are linked beside every purchase button.
What do the products help me do?
They help Canadian service freelancers organize the dates, amounts, classifications, foreign-currency evidence, and open questions behind an ordinary GST/HST small-supplier threshold review. The Action Kit is a guided PDF workflow. The Quarterly Review Workspace is a reusable offline browser workspace. The Complete Bundle contains both.
Will they tell me whether I must register?
No. They organize facts and calculate user-entered classifications, but they do not determine residence, place of supply, zero-rating, associated-person status, special rules, registration liability, or an effective date. Check current official guidance and obtain qualified advice for a material or uncertain decision.
Are they affiliated with or approved by CRA or Revenu Québec?
No. Thirty North is an independent working brand. The products link to official sources but are not created, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by a government agency.
What files are included?
The Action Kit contains a 24-page guide, 12-page fillable workbook, one-page control card, and README. The Quarterly Workspace contains six files that must remain together after extraction. The Complete Bundle is an outer ZIP containing the exact two standalone product ZIPs and extraction instructions.
Do I need an account, installation, or subscription?
No account or subscription is required for the delivered files. Extract the download locally. Open the PDFs in a suitable PDF viewer. For the workspace, open index.html in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
Does the workspace need internet access?
Its calculations run offline after extraction. Links to current CRA and Revenu Québec sources require internet access.
Where does the workspace save my data?
It attempts to save data in the browser profile on the device where you opened it. File-based browser storage can vary by browser and device. If automatic saving is unavailable, the workspace displays a warning. Keep the page open and use Backup JSON before closing it.
Is device-local storage automatically secure or backed up?
No. Offline or device-local storage is not automatically secure, encrypted, recoverable, or backed up. You are responsible for device protection, access control, backups, and safe handling of exported files. Do not enter SINs, passwords, CRA credentials, complete banking details, identity documents, or full contracts.
Can I move workspace data to another browser or device?
Yes. Use Backup JSON on the original browser and Restore JSON in the extracted workspace on the other device. Keep a separate copy of the backup before restoring because restore replaces the current workspace after confirmation.
Can I share the files with my accountant?
You may share your exports, completed workbook, or printed review with your accountant, lawyer, tax adviser, or a government authority for your own internal purpose. The source products themselves are licensed to one individual or one business and may not be redistributed, resold, published, hosted for third parties, or used to make a competing product.
Are future updates included?
The purchase includes the version named in the delivered filename. Do not assume future versions, legal updates, hosted services, or ongoing support are included unless the checkout page expressly says so. Check the version and official-guidance review date before relying on the workflow.
What if the ZIP or PDF will not work?
Download the ZIP again from the original receipt link, extract the whole ZIP into a normal folder, and use the extraction tool built into your operating system. Do not run the workspace inside the ZIP preview. For a fillable PDF, use a viewer that saves form fields and confirm one test value persists after closing and reopening.
